This year my school entered the 2017 Outlook For Someday Competition. This Competition is where you can send in a video (if you are between the ages of 5 and 22) and tell this Competition how we could make the world a better place. This is our school’s first time entering and we only had 5 weeks to do film it, edit it, and send it in. You can check out the video below. We sent the video in to the Competition at the start of October and the shortlisted people would find out late November. It turns out, they put up the list early November and we made the list! Then a few weeks later we were sat down with our principal and I.T lady and they had some news. We had won an award!! This was so exciting for us as there were 75 entries and only 20 awards and we got one of those awards. As our school is in Christchurch and we have been invited to collect our award at the awards night in Auckland, our school is funding for us to go up there! I have never been to Auckland before so it will be so exciting and such an adventure. The awards are on Thursday 7th November and will be streamed on their website. Of course, I will blog the whole thing. Did I also mention that we have no idea what award we have got. All we know is that we have won an award but they won’t tell us what award we’ve won until the night so that’ll be exciting. One last thing, don’t forget to vote for the video ‘Small Changes’ (the video that we made) so we win the People’s Choice Award and get a camera. If you our vote for us, you go into the draw to win $100 worth of Body Shop products, so it’s definitley worth it. The link is below. Tell your friends, share it on social media. You can also check out more info on their website which is also linked below. If you can spot me in the film comment below which character I am and/or if you know someone else in the film!
