School Holidays!!!!!

It is official its school holidays, no more listening to teachers telling you off or telling you to do something! Enjoy your peaceful and relaxing holiday, and oh you too teachers, enjoy a break from the noise of children, just put your feet up. I am going down south today so I will blog about the road trip!

REAL Challenges

At school we have these things called REAL Challenges, and I thought you might want to hear about it. I'll start off with REAL. The R stands for respect like in our learning and helping others. E is for encourager which means telling people that they can do it and things like that. A is for achiever, which means you want to achieve something and you achieve it. And last of all L, the most important one I think, is lifelong learners, which means we will learn everyday, even when we are not in school, we will keep learning until we die!!!!

Earthquake Drill

Today we did an earthquake drill. We had to drop, cover, and hold when the 2 bells rang, we had to do this in our classrooms. We were in this position for about 3-5 minutes until the next bell rang. We had to line up in alphabetical order. We were then sent out to the courts to have a talk about what we should do if there was a real earthquake. My team was the quietest so we got 5 minutes of extra morning tea!

Inquiry Trip- Saving The Sand Dunes!!!

I nearly forgot to blog about this. In inquiry we are learning about the coastline and sand dunes.
Our teacher thought it would be a good idea if we went to the beach to hear from a ranger named Jason a bit more about the sand dunes, so thats what we did. Everybody had an amazing time. We listened in and learnt lots. We got to build a mini sand dune and examine on it to see what it is like for real. We definitely have learnt a lot. Thanks Jason, your the best!!!

Football Ferns

Football Ferns Website
Today Annalie Loggo from the Football Ferns came to school for a girls soccer tournament. Of course I am not a girl, but anyway. The girls had heaps of fun. At the end of it they got a poster and some merchandise, on the poster they got to have Annalie sign it for them. The signing wen ton until the middle of interval. The girls were the only ones who got to her to sign it for them. At interval I  nervously went into line and tried to get a signature. When it was my turn, I told her I was just playing a huge football tournament at school and she not only signed a piece of paper for me, but wrote a note too. I then was the only boy to get a phot and signature with her! Thank You Annalie, you are amazing!!!

HINT: I'm at the back with her putting her arm around me. :)

My Aesop Fable

Aesop Fables
At school we have been learning how to write Aesop Fables, here is one of mine!

Ant and Snail
There was once an Ant and a Snail, who lived at a park on the ground. They were always fighting, night to day and day to night.
One hot sunny day they were having a talk off,
"I'm much cooler than you." Are not!"
The talk off went on for ages. Finally it stopped.
The next day Snail couldn't find Ant. Of course snail was just going to pick on him. Snail looked looked all around but still couldn't find him. Snail finally found Ant on a bush crying.
"Why are you crying?" Sam asked.
"Because you hurt my feelings." He replied.
Snail felt so bad for what he had done.
"I'm sorry Ant, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings," he said, feeling ashamed.
 "That's ok Snail," Ant replied.
The two of the, never fought again, and became best friends forever!

Moral/Message: Being mean to others can make them feel bad.

I hope you liked it!
